Do not use your V2 sponge before reading this..

Notice to all flip helmet owners do NOT use a V2 sponge on your inner tinted visor..schuberth if you have one..
It will scratch the tint even if its scratch resistant. The sponge will frost the finish and ruin your visor like it did mine...and yes a replacement will set you back £30.00...
I am currently in talks with V2 on this and waiting on there response..
They claim it will not scratch any surface or visor....

Why would you want to use the sponge on the INSIDE of your visor?

Its for cleaning muck and flies gathered on a ride..and it does an excellent job of it.... I've never yet got muck and flies on the inside

Have you never sneezed while your visor's down?;)

No :)

Just checked what the leaflet says in the V2 sponge packs...

**NEVER USE on Anti-Fog visor inserts or the inside of treated Anti-Fog visors. Always refer to manufacturers cleaning instructions for such items**

In other words read the instructions ;)

Also says

Always keep out of the reach of children :D

I think the inner tinted visors (the ones that you can slide up and down, as opposed to Pinlocks) have an anti fog coating on Both sides.

I can just about get away with very smoothly and delicatately wiping fly's of the front of mine using a wet micro fibre cloth.

I can see that the drop down smoked visors in Schuberth's etc could attract the flies... but I would have thought on reflection that the warning on the V2 packet was referring to the pinlock type of inserts... didn't occur to me that the drop down ones could have an anti fog coating

Yes the flick down visor, not the pin lock...i was riding last weekend and the bike was covered in bugs including me...the visor is very useful when sunny so you will have road kill on it..

in the past i cleaned it with wet kitchen paper at home and no probs.
at first i thought the culprit was the cloth in the pack, but its the sponge that has little microscopic cheese cutters as claimed by V2.
