Voge DS900X

Could be the new Daewoo of the bike market.

Lots of people bought those at the time too, cos they were a “bargain”.

Don’t really agree.
The CF Moto 450 MT isn’t a copy of anything really and is very inspirational. Probably why it’s sold out for the next 12 months !
Just watch a Nathan Millward vid such as this and see how he admires CF Moto for building a bike that nobody else has done …
Marcus at P and H was raving about them . He sold every one he got his hands on . Meanwhile KTM sales are so dire that they are giving up the franchise.

Looks a very good value package if still a little on the heavy side - inspirational though, not really IMO

Think it will be while though before we start seeing anything inspirational coming from Chinese manufactures other than what is basically copies of main stream bikes.

sounds familiar

in the 1960s, Japan focused on small capacity, utilitarian bikes then we had the CB750 & Z1 which focused riders' minds in terms of performance and reliability at relatively low cost compared to what the Europeans offered

you may have noticed, the Japanese have moved their focus back towards smaller capacity, utilitarian machines but even they are vulnerable to this wave from China.

Look forward to seeing the game changers from China that will have the impact that the Honda CB750 had when it was released in 1969 👍

I think you’re forgetting about a lot in the middle. They didn’t jump from Honda 50 to 750. JJH

and the Chinese brands didn't arrive last week but many years ago. Did you miss that?

we have had the Hongdu CG125 clones for a long time, perhaps 20 years and yes, they were truly shit. The dealer I bought my Yamaha from in 2015 ditched the brand some time ago and is making a living from Benelli, Keeway, Sym & FB Mondial. They refused to get into huge debt to meet Yamaha's corporate image and have found a market niche that works for them.

Lexmoto has been seeing off the European scooter brands - https://mcia.co.uk/press-statistics shows they sold more bikes than BMW in July & August.

I have been intrigued by this new Voge 900. I wondered what it would be like to take one into Europe in terms of support. If you go on the website you will see that France & Spain light up with dealers for the various Loncin brands on their map. So no worries there.

I have a Chinese bike. KTM 790.
There obvious places that money has been saved like the handlebars. Not Renthal. Brush-guards are a bit weedy.
The chain looks like it wont stand the test of time. There was no tool kit and nowhere to put it if you had it.

But, it is a way better bike than my original 790, especially in the engine dept.
Now, I assume KTM did the design work on the engine and the FCMoto built the thing, but it is so much better/smoother/tractable.
I like it.

Had a good nose at one today

Just a look or did you get a ride?
Also what did you think of the finish?
No kit with me .

Finish looked very very good . Yes some of the plastics are built to a price but it all looks great . Loncin engine , same as in 900GS but 95 bhp to meet A2 requirements, KYB fully adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes, Bosch electronics.

The ally panniers looked well made with good metal fixings and locks .

Comfy riding position .

Comes with cruise, blind spot detection, heated grips and seats, cameras, three box luggage, LED spots, keyless, TPMS,mainstand etc .

Literally what more would you need ?

It’s £8999 !!!

Spec a 900GS to similar levels and it’s about £17k

I reckon they’ll sell loads to those brits who aren’t blinkered

How long would the "Black Knight" stickers last ?

As long as it took to procure the missus' hairdryer.

For completeness, forgot to add that it’s got a USB-C/USB-A socket on left of TFT and a 12v on right

Depreciation is always a bone of contention...buy a new KTM and get screwed over by...KTM themselves some months later when they knock off the VAT or suchlike.
Buy a BMW and only lose 40% in 3 yrs, whereas a Voge may lose 60%...but the 40% equates to £6000 whereas the 60% equates to £5400....mmm (or just PCP one an walk away after 3 yrs...having spunked more than £6k overall....)

Very true, but I reckon these CF Motos and Voges will be common place in next year or so and depreciation will not be so bad .

Currently riding an F900 XR, which I rate as the motor and handling are great, but I fancy something newer. Paid a visit to my local Voge dealer (QB Motorcycles, Brierly Hill) yesterday to have a look at one and was bowled over. This is not a cheap Chingling knock off - this is a serious bike and fully loaded.
The finish is good with some really nice touches - stitching on the saddle, heated grips and seat, built in dash cam and rear facing radar which gives a flash of hazard and brake lights to warn 'Tail gaters' to back off. No ASC or cornering ABS and the dash is LED not TFT (I believe) but I can live with that. Oh and don't forget the aluminium panniers and top box. I've not worked it out fully but a BMW F900GSA with these specs would be north of £16k I recon. This will cost you £9,199 OTR.
Bit of reluctance from the dealer to Part Exchange as 'BMW's are a bit niche' as he put it. Just waiting to see what sort of deal they can swing. (BMW offered me £4k for my 4 year old bike with 23K miles on against another F900XR)
Look out BMW you're on notice!

I'm presuming the XR was c £10k...goes to show the bullshit attached to 'depreciation' or rather how well BMWs hold their value (not).

Don’t have much contribution to this slant eyed cheap shit thread other than glad OP has adopted his more affectionate name again. Universe is back in harmony 😬
