Was it much of a job doing the update ?

BRIEFLY please ....How do you actually do that? Do you not have to plug something into something?
No .
Download a Chinese app to android phone .
Get WiFi hotspot name from bike and enter exact name in phone hotspot with password 8888888.Wait for bike and phone WiFi connection .The 2 files you want are then ticked in app . Select download arrow on phone . TFT shows install progress . Once downloaded to bike you get prompt on TFT to install . Click Enter button on left bar to install .
Once install successful , switch off bike then back on and check software updated from 4.3 to 4.4 on My Vehicle page on TFT

Jesus, I'm so far behind the times - that's amazing stuff.

Many thanks for such a detailed reply, it has been quite an education.... :thumb

I'm thinking of putting an Aoocci on my F900 and dump the Navigator but I've never used the mount you seem to have there. How easy is it to remove it when parked?
Love that Voge!

It wouldn’t be easy to remove .
I’ve used a ram arm with the knob to tighten /loosen . The Aoocci actually comes with a ‘security’ arm which is a tad longer but is tightened by a torx bit rather than by hand. I used my own as it’s a bit shorter but might fit the other

This is it and I’m going to swap them over

It’s not exactly secure but at least the thief will need tools

You could always put a blob of Araldite or similar, to close up the bolt head, if you really are concerned that a scrote is going to nick it.

PS Very untidy.

Replace with some better length bolts. The threaded length out the end isn’t doing anything.

To me that seems very attractive to some little scrote who thinks it's nice tablet he could nick. Take your point about the mount needing a tool to open it but they weren't averse to wrenching the TFT screens off bikes (so I'm told) for the same reason. Does look good though.
I use the BMW 'Make Life A Ride' app on my phone, which I remove when I'm away from the bike. I'd prefer to have the phone in my pocket though
