Voge DS900X

Plus I can get to the dealership 4 times quicker and 4 times more often to get it sorted…..

On reflection the 900 is a piece of fook me fook yu garbage……

But I still getting one

Are you seriously getting one ? Bloody good bike for the dosh. And you can join the Uncle Wang club so double divvie !

Yes for sure.

Too many bikes but life too short.

It looks great in black.

Personally I’m not keen on the other colours.

I’m not arsed about camera but the anti col thing seems a good idea.

Blind spots, 3 bins, qs, etc etc

No brainer.

Case in point re the image thing is the number of Benelli TRK502s you see in Spain, Portugal, Italy etc.

Not so well accepted on these shores.

I think it’ll come.

If the Voge behaves itself for a year or so I think more people will jump.

I honestly think that people are regarding first owners as “beta testers” and if the bikes don’t fall to bits , (they won’t) they will jump.

To be fair...anyone with half a brain would suss out that 240+kg for a 500cc bike is bonkers.....

Depends on their priorities I guess .
Bikers in the UK are obsessed with weight on a bike , despite having 20kgs of belly leading the way.
Perhaps in mainland Europe they just get on with having fun and riding what they can afford , rather than PCP up to the max to fit in with the vainglorious Sunday morning brethren 😜

Yeap , I can’t fault your logic .

As long as it’s still worth £3k after 3 years

As long as it’s reliable ! And if it breaks it’s repaired under warranty swiftly with no further issues .

well according to Voge on their PCP calculator they give a final optional payment of £4200 after 3 years, so unless they have got it completely wrong (which is unlikely) its going to have a maximum depreciation of £1500 per year. So cheap new biking. I don't think it's right to compare this new generation of these big brand Chinese bikes with the multitude of random cheap crap that has come before them . The main thing needed apart from good bikes is the after sales infrastructure to make any headway long term.

You’ve raised a good point Dave, is the equivalent BMW the same weight, perhaps the beemer is made of stronger/lighter materials.

A fair point. A bit like anyone with half a brain sussing that £28,000+ for a spec’d up R1300GSA is bonkers…

If I buy a voge 900 for 9300 quid and have it 3 years then push it off a cliff, I’d be reasonably happy with that level of depreciation.

During those 3 years I’m sure I’ll enjoy many adventures at a cost of £8.50 a day, that’s a bargain.

If I decide to not push it off a cliff and get say 3000 quid back that’s now £5.80 a day.

So for 2 cups of coffee I’ve had a well specced bike and a lot of fun and get nothing back, still a bargain.

For 1 cup of coffee a day I get 3 years riding a fun bike, many adventures and some money back too.

So basically I can’t really lose, I have fun, enjoy riding, decrease my caffeine intake and can concentrate on enjoying my bike , not fretting over how much I’ll lose over a few years.

I’d have one tomorrow, in black please

Or another idea, just keep it after your 3 years. Also keep on riding it and keep on having adventures. Your £8.50 per day will rapidly get to be even better value. Weird idea I know but I and many, many others don’t change our bikes quite so often. Around every 8-9 years for me.

In fact….

On 8 Dec 2027 first one to Beachy Head gets my Voge.

Saved from the Cliff

If there’s anything left of it after 3 years ! 😳😂

It is a tad ironic that there are the usual knockers on here, dismissing the Voge as Chinese shite and that it’ll be unreliable -yet over in the 1300 section there’s a thread running called ‘100% reliable 1300’ for owners to note their experiences so far.

Whilst some bikes have indeed been pretty well behaved, others have reported major issues including Smartbazza having so many TFT failures that the bike had to be rejected and replaced.
But my favourite tale is that of peej1977, who is happy to report that his 1300 has ‘never actually broken down’ and the issues he’s had were simply that the bike had caught fire due to a starter relay issue, a red screen of death leading to TFT failure and replacement and just a ‘plethora of random error messages’.

So all good then. 🤔

But I do admire some people’s loyalty to the brand .

Yeah but other than that. What have BMW ever done for us? 😂😂😂.

I get that you love the Voge, but you are starting to sound a bit deranged with the anti anything-that-costs-more diatribe.

Would sir care to expand on what the fuck he means ?
I’ve pointed out on this thread that the Voge and 850/900GS share many common parts but not a common price.
And I’ve commented that I find it amusing that quite a few on here still regard anything that doesn’t have a blue and white roudel on the tank is crap, especially if made in China , when at the same time on another thread people are dismissing issues such as their new 1300GS catching fire as being no big deal, along with TFT replacements and numerous other faults.

So that makes me deranged and anti anything that costs more ?
Think you jumped a few steps there.Having issues with your premium quality steed, are we ? Bless.

Calm down dear.

It's nearly Christmas.

p.s. I've never owned a BMW.
