I watched a u tube Voge owner do an update on his 900Spoken like a true 1300GS owner.
Or to look at it another way-they let you update stuff yourself at home for free when they tweak stuff.
Yet to see a single Voge 900 owner reject his bike because it wasn’t fit for purpose, unlike a number of half finished 1300s costing THREE times as much as the Voge.
It took him and his mate all day
The bike was delivered with update required !
The dealer could not help … they had never done one and had no idea where to begin
The factory were to busy to assist
I am in the market for a new bike and have this at the top of my list …….
BUT "……. Backup from dealer seems iffy at best And None existent from factory are a bit of a worry
Yes you are right doing an update from home sounds great ….. so long as you are a computer expert.
We update our phones iPads gps laptops desktops apps etc all the time.
The bikes “brain” is no different.
Easily done, especially when u toob has it covered thanks to a few pioneers ….

You don’t need to be a computer expert . It takes 10 minutes using an android phone .
I simply watched a vid by Motech Revolution and it’s a piece of piss .
Download an APK file to phone . Link phone to bike via WiFi hotspot then upload to bike and install .
Unfortunately I think you watched a vid by a couple of northern stunt monkeys who grabbed the wrong end of the stick and legged it .
Dealers can do updates. But my nearest dealer is in Brittany , so being able to do updates at home is a bonus in my book .

That is a great price and they are lovely things to ride. I've ridden the 790 and 890 iterations. But I think I might develop a nervous tick if I owned one. I rode both before buying an 18 month old Africa Twin Adventure sports with 2500 miles on it. 25,000 on it now and I don't regret that decision.
I think I'd rather have the Voge with the BMW/Loncin engine. There don't appear to be any major reliability issues with it and it has been about a while.
