Lads does anybody know if I can get the entire Wild Atlantic Way route as a download for the Nav 5 or is it a map out the whole thing yourself job?.

Don't mind doing myself but new to the Nav 5 and haven't really delved into anything crazy on it.

Cheers for your help.

You don't need a map to do it.

Did the entire thing this autumn. You just keep following the signs either south or north. If you loose the route, use the gps to get you back to the coast and away you go again!!! Seriously, you really don't need gps for this.

Nice one was going to do sections of it over a few weekends in the sping/summer and do some camping. I'll see how I go 👍

Was thinking of the same thing myself for this year. Take a few pics on the way.
As Smelly says, it's well signposted.
If you're looking for a plan, have a look at the Irish Photo Rally. This year's is due out next month.

It'll be well worth it! I had great craic. Once you are on the WWW you can't go wrong. Mind you Achill island in gale force winds felt wrong at the time!!

I've been there surfing in storms its wild alright.
Will do John cheers

Will be doing the WAW this summer myself along with my dad

So far the plan is leave on a morning and head for Killarney and spend the night there with the following day doing the Ring of Kerry and surrounding area, with another night in Killarney, then make our way north along the WAW to a certain point then swing back over for home

We have yet to pick a day to go and how many days to go for, still working on that

Has anyone any suggestions on places to go see south between Killarney and Cork thats worth popping further down for?

Jonny, you could spend several days doing a bit of sightseeing between Cork and Killarney alone. Places like Kinsale spring to mind.
Don't underestimate the time it takes to get anywhere, especially on many of the roads on the WAW. Did I read somewhere that the WAW is 1700 miles long?

Jochen, Liam & co can guarantee that it will be warm and dry in Cavanacarragh Hall...... Whatever the weather, they can also guarantee that you will enjoy the HU event!

Had a great time on my last visit (IIRC 2012), they even rolled out some local Irish dancers on the Sat night who were brilliant entertainment :aidan

Well, even if it does rain, it normally only rains about twice a week. Once for four days and the other for three!

:jes:jes:jes. I'll bring my shorts and suncream then :D

haha yeah I know what you mean, learnt that the hard way on my first big trip to France/Belgium and it was a race to the booked hotel in the evening for the first 2 days:blast

Going to book our first two nights in Killarney and then just book each evening on the way up north through the booking.com app on my phone

Kinsale looks lovely so I will add it to the planning table thank you:beerjug:
