I use a Halvarsson safety jacket with Teflon outer jacket and suffer with wet cuffs after riding about 15 miles in rain. Dry everywhere else but the cuffs become soaked. I've tried it with gloves over the cuff and gloves under the cuff but still the same.
I'm told by the dealer that this is a common fault with 'breathable' material but I've never suffered this before with other jackets.
I also have a 'Halogen' waterproof outer jacket and this behaves the same.

Any suggestions please?

I'm begining to wonder if it is something to do with the aerodynamics of the bike's screen and/or handguards (with Touratech top extensions).

Is it one of those jackets with an inner waterproof lining?

If so, it's just the water running down the sleeves and ending up in the cuffs. Best get jacket with waterproof outer like HG or Frank Thomas.
Lot cheaper and don't weigh a ton when wet with all the water thats gone through the outer.

Hi

I have exactly the same jacket and use both of these outers and have never experienced any issues at all. My dealer has no knowledge of this common problem either?

Have you tried, gloves over the inner, but under the outer so to speak? I have eventually settled on this set up, although it took a while to find the right gloves for this.

It might be that water is running down the outer jacket sleeve and into the glove (if worn on top of it) and then the sleeve end wicks up the water ?

Hi

They are 'Furygans', I have a pair of summer vented short gloves that I have had for years, and a pair of 'normal'/winter gloves, not quite as old, but having checked neither have any name or model type labels left, or thinking about it - I might have cut these out!

I use Furygan stuff as it is good quality, but more importantly they fit me well, I have really big hands, but as they get nearer to wearing out I will be looking at the 'H' range, as I like the jacket so much. But again only short gloves.

Regards

JH

Same as JH

I have the Halogen jacket and and recently rode through a torrential down pour, for a good few hours, in France, and no problem at all.:thumb2
I always wear the sleeves over the gloves.

Re: the Halvarrson gloves, they are good, but the linings always pull out if your hands are slightly damp or cold:mad:
I would hold off buying until next season, when they are launching gloves with bonded linings, similar to the goretex extrafit, used in some BMW Motorrad gloves.
