What did I do today?...well decided last night was going to have a good ride out, left home at 8 o'clock after a hearty breakfast, and headed for Abergaveny for a bacon roll and a cup of tea, meet SteveB, nice to have met you Steve. After my second breakfast headed North West upto a small village called Beulah, this was to be my start point to cross the Cambrian Mountains to Tregaron.
The route over the mountains was absolutely fantastic, beautiful scenery, only the odd car and motorbike, so enjoyed a long slow ride, stopped half way across for some lunch, then again for a drink at Tregaron. After quecing my thirst headed North to Devils Bridge, was going to stop and take some more photos to add to my previous collection, but it was heaving with motorbikes so just rode on. After Devils Bridge headed back across the mountains thru the Elan Valley, stopped at an old tin mine for a look round, then followed the line of the reservoirs, stopped for a quick snack then headed home. Route home was to Hereford, Birdlip Hill then a fast run home for dinner. Covered 378 miles and really enjoyed myself. Here are a few pictures shown as per my route.
The first 3 shots are from Abergaveny up to Belauh
Thses next 11 shots are in the Grampian Moutians to Tregaron
No not drunk...this was looking directly down from the bridge....
And finally thru the Elan Valley to begin my route home.
Hope that was not to many pics......this was my fourth trip into Wales, and I can see why the Welsh want to keep Wales to themselves.....
