Who can get it up

Yes...... do we start it.......

Hmmmm...best not: Sounds a bit dangerous......anyway, it's already "up"?

:beerjug:

PS If you're on about getting it up "there" you'll need loads of Vaseline.............................from the man who couldn't wheelie to save his own life.
:D

PPS I think "clutching it" is the best way to start, but I seem to be wrong about most GS related items.:reynolds

I know the front gets a bit light in 1st but I don't think it's got enough torque to lift under pure power, I haven't played about much but wondered if anyone has the "snap the throttle shut at ?rpm… and the open up" type of thing. My old Bandit12 would do it easy with it’s low down grunt. On paper the GS12 is lighter and has more torque so it must be technique??

Try accelerating like your doing a drag start, but dip the clutch briefly and drop it back in. ( You should be in the 4-6k range).
When you can't see forward change into 2nd....if you've not crashed, you beat me.....dunno what happens next.

No doubt hard-riding stunt gods will step in to slap me down....:whip

Getting it up

O yes it has got the power 1st gear about 3k revs then wack the throttle open it comes up a treat keep your foot covering the back brake as if it goes too high stamp on it, it comes down second gear 3-4k revs dip clutch give it about 5k dump the clutch and it will wheelie all the way through 2nd ask bumble beemer if ypou dont believe me he's seen it done :P

Trick is to snap the throttle open in 1st and it comes up. Done it once by accident.

No point in closing then opening as the forks don't dive so you don't get the sping back to assist:)

Yep role her on in first to about 20-30mph then give the throttle a good twist and up she'll come no bother. No need for clutch just off the power .......bloody marvellous!!

Yup, up she goes in first and second, by snapping the throttle. If you're used to a Bandsh*t ;) then you're probably doing it with too many revs. Start experimenting around 2,000rpm. I find it that she lifts very ferociously in first, second is much "calmer"...

Haven't tried forcing her up in 3rd. Maybe I should, but then I'd probably use the clutch. :)

If you do it in first, you can quite easily switch to second without using the clutch - for prolonged enjoyment :D

.. Hmm... maybe that's tomorrows misson: get some mono-mayhem-piccies :D

Self raisin

It'll rise right up wi a pillon.. (too easily!!) jus by twistin the grip!!.. But wi that front spenny set-up... it don't arf seem come down wi a thud!!

...get some bricks in yer panniers - comes up in sixth:D

Don't be shy.....

Don't be shy.... let's see some of you "guru's" in action then....

so who's gonna give a bit more "tech detail" regarding body positioning, pulling on bars as you snap the throttle etc?

and remember....

:postpics

ps... who's gonna lend me theirs to practice on????? All offers welcome :D
