Well, the air hawk would look a lot nicer hahaha!!

I tried out this out on the way back from the lakes yesterday (275 miles in just over 4 hours :D ) cost me about £10!! Its an inflatable cushion from the health care suppliers 'Putnams'. I put a couple of holes in the side flaps to attach some straps too and hey presto! Comfort on a rallye seat for 275 miles!!

i know if looks shit..... but it feels good

Thanks for posting def worth a go for a tenner :thumb2 & thanks for jazzing up relatively boring topic with talk of holes flaps & straps :D

Just put "Putnams" into the search box ...... my experience was that the Mean Time Between Failure was about a dozen rides

Plastic Airhawk, nine years and counting

I got one of these from the local chemist, lasted a week before it burst.........I bought a Dan Medica pad. cheaper than the air hawk and I did 2000 miles no bother

ive had it for ages, and used it as a camping pillow a few times! but only just tried it on the bike. did 275 miles from the lakes back to guildford in 4 hours with it on as i didn't need to rest my ass at fuel stops lol

I had one on my last gs, covered it in a road kill (sheep skin) Did 1,300 miles with it and also using it as a pillow , cheap as chips and comfy all day long

I've just bought a black sheepskin for my TB GSA, dying to try it out and see if it helps make my low Kahedo comfier over a few hundred miles.

Seen loads of cruisers use sheep skin, must do something ! I'm just not sure about trying it out in winter, sitting on a squelchy dead animal lol

Sheepskin allows air to circulate around the derriere. Not a good idea to get it wet though, takes forever to dry.

I've tried three and they have all developed leaks. I had one for my scoots trip to the Gambia which Putnams kindly provided FOC and it lasted until Southern Spain. Had a sheepskin after that but it was nowhere near as good an air cushion. That got nicked in Senegal! :blast Now I use Airhawks. They have never leaked. You pays yer money, you takes yer choice. :rob

Me and Mrs cookie just came back from 2000 miles around Spain. Put an old sheepskin on the 1190 and it was super comfy wet or dry.
