I think I have a fuelling problem, it feels like it's only firing on one cylinder.
RickG said:At the risk of being branded a smart arse, I think the fuel pressure reg' on a 1200GS is already a 3.5 bar jobbie.

Liken it to Dell Ortos with accellerator pumps -
you snap open the throttle = big dollops of fuel get squirted in instantly = instant takeoff.
GS fuel pressure regulator = 3 bar
K1200 pressure regulator = 3.5 bar

why not fit an R1200GS pressure regulator, rather than a K1200RS regulator to an 1150 or 1100 then![]()

Is fitting a K1200RS fuel pressure regulator to your GS simple?
edit: ... just seen this... do you really have to remove the ABS unit??![]()

Do you have to remove the ABS unit?
***Warning, 8 year old thread resurrection*****....
No.
The pressure regulator can be removed with it in situ, and the subframe in place. But only from the R/H side of the bike.
This is an 8 year old thread and was the prevailing wisdom at the time.
I run 3.7 bar on my r1150. But if you don't change the stock O2 sensor, the Motronic "adapts" to the higher pressure and negates it.

I have a Remus decat and open can. Rt tubes. K&n and I've fitted a 3.5 bar pressure reg. what's the best next step for improved long term engine performance. Cheers
