Yes... and you should pm timolgra as he wanted a red beak... apparently he has lots of time to fix things now he's married and his beautiful wife does everything for him but hover.

If you want to throw away the best/ fasted colour then maybe...or you could sell it to to a red bike owner and the could go on to have no problems with their bike... I'd say that's worth a few bob!

I have been reading the threads in this section and I am very worried:

My bike seems to be running perfectly - is this normal?

its to do with usage, the GS I have now, 2003, has done 16,000 miles in 8 years, I brought it in May 2011 and have had nothing but probelms with it, I have done another 8000 miles since I brought it, I owned the same spec GS from 03 - 07 which I did just under 100 thousand miles and it never missed a beat.

So my answer ride it everywhere......

Make is important.

I have a 1959 Zundapp. It has not given any trouble whatsoever over the last 40 years. Not one breakdown. Never stopped on me.

It hasn't moved either in 40 years, so the moral is clear. If you do not use the bike it will never break down. Especially Zundapps.
