Hi All,

I'm out on the bike last night, I glance down and ... my BMW badge on my 09 GSA has gone! (The one near the yoke under the handle bars at the top of the "steering column").

I went to the Lakes yesterday - left the bike in a public spot near the jetty at Windermere, it _may_ have disappeared there or I did clean the bike on Friday, so it may have loosened it, not sure!

Without it, there's a bit of a gaping hole where it was :eek

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Anyone have a part number?

Cheers....

I have had two 'fall off', both replaced under warranty without issue, and I think the dealer gave me a spare just in case!

If you have no luck at the dealers then PM me and I will try and locate my spare.

:)

Cheers JH!

Its due in for a service a week next Saturday (6000 miles) - I only got the bike last Sept. so I am under warranty.

Is it worth Aralditing the new badge on? Is the loss of these a common thing?

I don't wanna point fingers, but do people actively go around "half inching" them? I can't say for sure if mine was there OK before I went and left my bike at the Lakes yesterday.

I would tend to use a bit of clear silicone rather than Aralditing it on....silicone will hold it firm, but is not so permanent :thumb2

Mine also went AWOL on my 08 GS. Bought a replacement from the dealer - should have been nearly 30 quid  Very generously they gave me a trade discount, which meant it was only extortionate wallet surgery.

I haven't fitted it yet, so it's still in its bag and should have a part number on it. Let me know if you still need the number and I'll get it for you.

Crikey £30.00!!!!! Where do they get their prices from?!?

Cheers, the part number would be handy if you have it.

Somebody prised the badge out of my rack last week so I dropped a piece of Snakewood in to replace it.

It's 'just a motorbike' but I wasn't happy at the time

Tommygun - yes - funny you should say that, also can't seem to get above 65mph - must be some kind of "extra speed capability" device? :augie

Remember them Beastie boys in the 80s - No Vee Dubya was safe!:eek

Touratech do a Logo Protector - stops people from long term borrowing.....not cheap at £20 though. Part number is 01-044-0670-0

Cheers Jedmeister but its the badge near the ignition on the top. Apparently they are only glued on :nenau

Not sure which you need, but on the bag there is a label with a bar code and *1NF3W1174* underneath, and then two further sets of numbers/letters AD02 23J1B and 31 42 7 704 591 followed by Plaque, so I guess it's the latter.

They supplied the badge already stuck to the plastic insert that fits in the top yoke.

Good luck - hope you recover from the wallet surgery soon :comfort

hAVE jUST HAD MY PLASTICS dipped and looking for an alternative

Has anyone come across an alternative badge say grey or black as opposed to the Blue background and suggestions greatly accepted

Will post colour of the bike shortly

Red:comfort
