I also have an idle problem.
My 1100GS has recently developed an idling problem and no amount of fiddling with the idle screws, cleaning the throttle bodies or changing the air filter, spark plugs has helped. The problem seems to have started suddenly as it was running fine for ages. I've been reading through this post looking for inspiration.
My bike doesn't seem to have a ccp in the fusebox but I'm not sure so I've attached a photo of the fuse box here:
Can someone confirm?
The bike is a '95 from Europe, it has the cross-over cables for the throttle and a standard can on it, which I got secondhand from Richie (I think he had a UK bike?) I'm pretty sure the bike doesn't have a cat on it but I'm not absolutely certain.
The throttle cables seem to have slack in the such that they touch the stop and the bike seems to run ok other than at idle where it conks out regularly at the traffic lights.
I can see talk of Lambda and CO sensors but I'm not sure how to check that (I presume only the bikes fitted with a cat have the Lambda sensor? What about the CO is that also the case?)
Also someone mentioned here that a faulty Hall Sensor can cause problems, is that so and how could I check it?
The next thing I was going to do was a compression test but I need to buy the tool for that so I wanted to check other things first.
Any input is appreciated.
