I stupidly test drove the new 1250 HP and now have one on order. Hopefully here by the end of the month.

I use to have a 2015 TE which was great but due to work/school drops offs etc it wasnt getting used so I sold it and have missed it since. Engine wise, if I'm honest I couldn't tell a huge difference between my old one the new 1250 and certainly did not notice the shift cams at work. For me the main improvements are the gearbox and the TFT display.

Anyway before I've even taken delivery, I have 1 small issue. I've not quite broken the news to my wife so any suggestions would be most appreciated. I figured it was easier to ask forgiveness then ask for permission. :D

Mate, just enjoy whatever the last bit of your marriage was....

Then press that Start button and go riding :D

I am sure she will be very understanding. Wives are good like that!

Just tell her pal, just say I have been to the garage, realised how much I missed it and have brought another bike :)
If you can afford it and you are not sacrificing the money for something else then why would it be an issue?

You're not married are you.... :D

I took mine with me, she liked the colour scheme so much she told me to buy it;)

We only went to the dealer for a free sausage:blast

Your wife will get over it, just tell her:hide

Hand her a pair off your trousers !

When she replies “these will never fit me”

You reply .........

My wife has always been fine when it comes to me buying bikes.......she just says “if it’s what you want, and we’ve got the money, buy it”

She’s a keeper!

My wife was telling me the other day that she understood why I needed three motorbikes......

I fear she has been abducted by aliens....

My humble suggestion:

Start picking up brochures of basejumping, look at videos on YT etc. Then, a week later, you 'accidentely' you let her 'discover' reports of mishaps and such. Keep insisting that is what you want for a while, starting to calculate the cost of travel to the sits, needed equipment etc. When she gets wound up about the costs, you put on a sad face and mumbles that it is no more than a bike upgrade….

Thanks for all th useful tips! Well I’ve finally broken the news and I’m glad to report that my testicles are still intact and connected to my body. In fact she took it surprisingly well! She is no doubt storing this up for a big ask in return I’m sure! Anyway now I can get properly excited about my new bike. Hopefully pick up the last week in May. Tick tock tick tock tick tock......

Did she smile back and nod twice?

- 1st nod is.... I feckin knew it.
- 2nd nod is.... He's going to deserve what's coming to him now.

.... INCOMMING
