Sorry but I can't help it the sport suspension on the Rallye was too hard and the exhaust probably too loud...:D
If you ride the Rallye hard the suspension is still too soft...get Ohlins TTX as they are as hard or soft as you want them to be !
Or better buy a Gold-Wing...they are even more reliable than KTM's...;)

The only people being tedious here are the GS 1250 haters congregating in a BMW enthusiast forum !
I don't see the "lousy" BMW quality. My 2017 GS is better than my 2000 GS1150 which was a dog and felt heavier. My 2012 GS felt more plasticy. So get real.If BMW makes some parts in china which cost problems you got warranty. If the cheap Chinese shit becomes too expensive they will make quality in germany again.
O.K. I'm a little disappointed about the hp and was expecting 145hp/140nm Torque. We got 136hp and 140nm TORQUE.We can thank the arseholes in Brussels and their ridiculous EU-5 for it...:(
As also the 5 kilos more weight due to a heavier/quieter exhaust.
No big deal as the aftermarket will offer lighter/louder ones...:thumb2
But I'm still happy about the upgrade because we get KTM TORQUE levels with a little less top-end.
And in 3-4 years a lighter all new GS...:thumby:
Will I wait this long ? No ! I buy the new one in a year or two and so god will get the all new one after it had been out for a year or two...
And still hope the exiting R 1250 S rumor to be true that will have more than 136 hp and hopefully a modern version of the R 1100 S :thumby:
As also the R1250GS-RR with 17 inch wheels.
And of course the all new S1000RR - good times :thumby:
Not good if you are japaninc or DuKtm fanbois or gurlz...;)

Fuck you're tedious Boxerlust.

Stop posting shite and go and ride your bike :thumb

And your not , get a grip Andrex with you acute negativity of all things ...Boxers last post sums up a lot truth for some on the GS SIDE OF THE FORUM .
His point are valid even if you don't like them , you are just rude.
Why do you keep posting on this side ...Go ride you superior KTM and leave us the fuck alone and whilst your there take a few of you mates with you .

What are you on about now , you just comment for the sake of it.
Why the issue with the last post , true observations .. you just cant accept it.
You are like a slapped kid.
To add your past posts seem to give the impression of a good guy but for some reason you really have your B in a bonnet over this post
Oh I forgot

Stick x

"I saw the light and went orange"...LOL You crack me up...:D
So you went from a GS Rallye to a 1290 KTM that has a little bit more top-end .
But at what cost ?
Hobby horse handling with mucho forkdive.
High speed stability issues with bags on.
Cheap plasticy looks.
Not many dealerships with parts issues.
Reliability issues and higher maintenance costs.
Chaindrive...:(
You are a genius...:thumb
Don't get me wrong I would still take a KTM over any Multilala or Afreekatween but to go to KTM because BMM's have reliability or quality issues - that is the best joke I have heard in a long time :thumb

You really are a clueless cûnt aren’t you.

That's bit made me smile , but he missed the fact that the front fairing wobbles like a fat lasses ass (think I may have posted this before BWTF)

That's a bit harsh from a cint as well , get back to orange land you tosser.
I think you gloss over the facts of a bike (KTM) that is like a mistress , not a true partner IMHO as im sure your bitch will cuss my ass lol
Enter Andrex or who ever

Cant se the keys at moment ,,:friday:friday:friday:friday:friday:friday

If you agree with those points, there’s no way you’ve owned one, let alone even ridden one. ;)

Ha!!
This thread cracks me up ....!!!

I’m a friend of Andres, and I ride an LC...... I’m confused about if I should stay or go.....

Don’t really want to wade in on the argument, very much see myself as an observer here, but ..... couldn’t agree more. The quality of finish on my 1290 way .. way ... way surpasses any GS I’ve had (two). Paint is thick and heavily lacquered, nuts and fasteners still as good as new, stability?? Absolutely rock solid. Reliability? Hasn’t missed a beat ... not one.

Don’t forget we’re talking to a man who thinks the GS is the fastest bike on a road and that nothing else will touch it (which is why we regularly see them at the TT ... )

Don't forget the RT Giles. I have not seen a bike faster than a police RT :D

"Clueless ****" that is really a strong argument for your KTM...but your name says it all...Nutty..:thumb
I'm happy about the upgrades on the R1250GS if Bennentts got it right...:thumb2
The best they can do with the Euro f@cks in Bruessels that want to destroy our hobby making bikes quieter and leaner running until we finally give up because bike have become as boring as Volvos but not as safe...Burn fuel while you can or until the last tree in the rainforest has been cut and all oxygen gone despite our boring electric vehicles that still couldn't save the planet...:(
If feel sorry for our sons and daughters...
Hopefully the EU-SSR will be dead before EU-5 becomes reality so at least KTM and Ducati won't get the 5 kilo heavier exhaust sounding like Briggs& Stratton lawn movers and loose 10 hp and then will only be bought by nutless and clueless arsecracks who want superior reliability and quality with their chaindrive…"Ready to Race" even if their riders are not...:D
Plenty to be excited about fellow BMW comrades...:beerjug:
1250 GS and S1000RR...
Maybe even a 17" wheel GS-RR and R 1250 S...:thumby:
Better than getting laid for the first time again...:D

Nutty is called nutty because his head looks like his sack, not because he is clueless with directions :D Sorry Nutty but this thread is well worth the £12. Sometimes I wonder if these people actually exist.

The interesting thing about this whole thread is that the comments made about the GS are facts, and well documented issues. There are two or three posters that continually post nonsense and childish remarks about KTM’s, and are making themselves look a bit daft.

When have you seen my sack?

I’m worried now. Did Keith put photos on here? :D

When ever I go for a refresher on the RT, (sometimes it’s un marked Gixxer ... sometimes marked RT) we (obviously) spank it to within an inch of its life.
And I tell yer what .... it’s bloody amazing what those RT’s will do! It all runs out of puff at 130, but for a tourer ... very very capable bike! I’ll get one when I’m 70

And ... (use the opportunity to say now...) .. one Bike V another on the road is 80% down to the rider. (unless you’re actually going to do rolling third gear drag races and shenanigans like that).
Posting ‘I blew my mate away on my ‘*’ bike ... he couldn’t keep up .. ‘ etc etc... means fuck all! I have seen work colleagues (So class one riders ...!) riding Blades and Gixxers left behind and unable to keep up with well ridden RT’s!!

1290 v GS ???? Nah ... one rider V another ...
