2026 CB1000GT

Does it share the 150hp engine tune and close ratio box of the Hornet, or 120hp engine and WR box of the CB1000F?

Similar to Hornet . Think it’s 146 bhp.
CB1000F has 122 but more midrange .

OK. I guess that'll differentiate it more from the NT1100.

According to Honda Yesterday its 147 BHP which I can live with especially if the loss of 3 BHP smooths out the horrendous Hornet throttle response which once again they re-assure me that it will !! that remains to be seen and felt
My ATAS was not great rode it to work last week and it seemed 100% better took the very long way home and it was as smooth as silk !! maybe it knew it was being traded in and had a last try at being good !!

Wheres the fekking ride reports !!
LOL can you tell im eager to see if what ive bought is worth a crap or not !!

Honda man at MCL said they had taken 700 orders so far, if you wait until the New Year you'll be lucky to get one before Sept.

Sales pitch to get an order?

I can believe it . Similar for the CB1000F which is why I ordered before MCL and mine is due in March

Looks good for the brass. Enjoyed our Versy's 1000 which i suppose the Honda is along those lines.

I keep reading comments on these videos and the hornet videos that this engine burns a lot of oil ive not had that engine in any guise yet, just Africa twins so thought i would mention it as im interested in this bike.

I wonder why the design would consume oil?

From the video one thing that might bother me on the bike is the display with all the different settings and modes. Hopefully Honda have made it simple and intuitive but it doesn't appear so. I hated having to navigate through the various menus to change settings on the Africa Twin 1100 and I was never able to set it for the combination I wanted which as I recall is full power, gentle throttle response, and full engine braking, that was the main reason I got rid of it and kept the Tenere. Restarting it after getting all the settings close to where I wanted them would change some back to a "default" setting.

The fireblade engine that's used from that era has always been known for using oil; i think Honda accept a 1000 ml per litre as normal; it may even be a little less.

Watching this video made my willy feel funny :ROFLMAO: . Possibly the first serious consideration for a GS replacement. It's all in the test ride.

1. I expect better weather protection from a sports tourer and that engine/ header etc is going to get awfully scruffy very quickly.

2. Hate the huge silencer, and the very narrow r/h pannier.
I’d have to change them.

otherwise..

I like it.

BTW
Those clips of him riding through the bends look really dodgy, no smoothness or finess, just correction after correction.
