No that's the 'Sandrover beige' 800GS :D

Robbo, I bet that merc is still giving a family good reliable service somewhere.
I think they lost money on every one sold, since it was so well engineered.

I had it 10 years, sold it to a friend, got it back 3 years later, sold it to another friend got it back 4 years later , then sold it to a guy who took it to morocco to finish its life as a taxi. He was going to fit a 200D engine to it . Great cars. I've had 3 of them and currently have 3 W124's . One with 30000 miles, one with 63000 miles and one my son uses in Wales with 130000 miles. All drive well the low mileage car like new . Even good 124's are making good money now and lovely to Dive

Happy days. Got the call today to say it's been built. Due to arrive in the UK next week.

I too have one on order. It's named 'Exclusive'. Also heard today it has been built and awaiting shipping so will probably wait for March reg.. Two things swung it for me:

1. only choice for TE spec was white or black, neither of which appealed.

2. frame is a darker shade of grey which I think could look good(cannot remember colour name and BMW website is not really much good).

In the end it is only a colour and more important is the way it goes and handles...

The new bike looks great , but what's the idea behind the 1980 gold brakes .. deal breaker for me , I would need to change those to black.

Sat on one last night at AJ's new showroom opening, looks a lot better than I thought it would it's quite a dark brown. There is quite a mixture of colours but it looks good, still prefer the look of the tb. I like the transfer on the tank,I'm very tempted but I think I"ll wait and see what 2018 brings.

Maybe,Grey has been the new black for a while

Got the call today that its arrived at the dealers. No pics yet as it's still crated.
Akrapovic to be fitted then should be ready for 1st March hopefully.

euro 4 akrapovic, as i have just been told by my dealer that the internals are different from 2013-2016 akrapovics.

and enjoy the new bike!

Saw the brown in the EICMA BMW stand last year. The colour itself is actually not too bad, a kind of brownish grey tone, goes nicely with the smoke grey frame too. But the decals on the side of the tank are not nice IMHO. A bit of a cheap thing, like wearing a jacket that says "ADVENTURE" on it with large, reflective letters. I mean come on, have some style. It's a GS, it does not need to advertise it with letters this huge. Anyway, if not for the decals, I would have probably ordered it. Got the classic White instead.

Brown is not cool, never was and never will be, did manufacturers by a gazillion gallons of the shit back in the 70s and their accounts keep telling them to get shot of it?

Brown is the colour of poo ffs!
