Hi all
after a year out from the group by defecting from a GS LC to a S1000R i have returned to you all with the purchase last Saturday
of a New XR in white with all the bells and whistles except the alarm (can't live with them).
Got the luggage and well pleased with these ebay liners, worth a look excellent quality/price
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PANNIER-L...664077?hash=item43e26dee4d:g:sTIAAOSw3ydVjCTT
I can confirm the bike works underwater as i have had to run it in promptly with a first service tomorrow due to a upcoming July Europe trip
and Alan Jefferies could only fit me in then. I have never done so much wet weather riding since my Yamaha LC days as a snotty teen.
The bike passes all my expectations and more and i should of got one at launch but could not wait and got the Naked hooligan instead.
Seat is taking some getting used to, seem to feel as if i'm sliding forward all the time but it seems to be fading the more i ride.
Can't fault anything else really, no buzz on the bars, mirror's work.
Gets messy in the wet all over the swing arm and shock i suspect a longer hugger may improve.
Like the quietness at the moment and will tour with the standard can on for now.
Never gelled with the S1000R and treated it as just a bike while this one already is my baby
Nice to be back
