possibly!!!

Now then.
Has anyone had to replace the braking surface in a cast wheel??

The reason for asking is i 'think' the rear wheel braking area on the project may be at it's limit.
If it is , is it replaceable?
Somebody had to fit the steel ring in the first place, but could it be re done, or is it a newer wheel required?

ta!

7.92" - whats that in metric then? since when have the Germans marked 'owt up in imperial?

Drum brake? Honda 550/4's had a bad habit of cracking the steel liner in the rear drum, and it could be replaced at frightening expense (good 2nd hand wheels were rare...) I think the answer is yes, but that Kenny is right.

Looks as if i'll be scouring the usual for a s/h wheel then .. sooner the better so i can get them blasted and powder coated.
