Cost cutting measures and flogging the latest and greatest to the gullible. Well done BMW. It proves once again that there are egos out there willing to do the beta testing for BMW.

That is nonsense. If you got lynched, you wouldn't be hanging around any longer...

When I commented on the Brembos here, I got lynched. I knew I was right.![]()
but you had a very valid point, but should still be hung drawn and quartered and roasted on a pitchfork, more ukgser way...........
I will be retro fitting the Brembro calipers back onto my 1250 as the new brakes do not have the same feel as the old system , not that they are bad its just the feel is not there.
I have a set ready to go on , second hand but off a 6000 mile bike.
Just need a rear one now as the rear is gold![]()

You must not be an educated man ?
Ever heard of the Armistice of 11 November 1918?
Actually, I think it's a good thing that they did, as it turned into the building of some of the finest cars and bikes there is...
You are clearly confusing the armistice, a ceasefire agreed in 1918, with the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 that forbade the new German Republic from maintaining an airforce.

Because you obviously know the cost that BMW pay for Brembo callipers and how much they are saving by fitting Hayes callipers - pray tell, I would be interested to know how much cheaper this inferior product is. And what does buying a new bike have to do with egos?
Ever cared to ask the BMW rep (not exactly cost cutting but their bid was lower for the contract) or do you know why you are encouraged to buy the latest and greatest or why it appeals to so many people to have the latest must have? The psychology behind creating a want and selling you something.
Thought so.
So you actually asked the BMW rep - bollocks. I am buying a new RT because my bike is a 2014 and I've had it for many years and put 18k on it, so I decided to get another bike, no ego, just personal choice so fcuk off
Yes I did. Maybe you should read about how the internet is used to influence your personal choices. There is more to it than just posting on UKGSer. You are indeed a very nice man.
You couldn’t make this up.
I can’t believe I seriously considered a 1250. Lucky escape. BMW aren’t cutting costs, my fucking arse.
Dodged one there
Lucky![]()

Having read plenty of your previous posts I see I am in good company and looking at your post count think you might need to take your own advice.

Hold on to your 2017 R1200 Euro4 GSA's
Pre-TFT, Shit-Can, Hayes..
Post-Gearbox upgrade, Brembo, cush drive...
The best bikes![]()

I'd keep it as it's only just run in,my 2and a half year old RS has done 17000 miles ........ so the time its 5 years old it will have 34000 on the clock. So you actually asked the BMW rep - bollocks.
