Well, maybe Akrapovic have used a better engineering solution which is easier to maintain? Or just doesn't fail like the BMW does?
Don’t know tbh.

Remus do a no valve no cat.

I would wait and see what happens with the rear O2 sensor, I am betting BMW have something up their sleeve, and also would wait until bike is out of warranty.
You will notice that the Akra headers have provision for that third sensor built in.

Exactly my point, the 3rd one is there for a reason, as some know, obviously with the cat, it will be 1 for 1 but without the cat, maybe later BMW will update something in the software for emissions, and the the decat header might send the bike into limp mode, better to wait is my opinion.
The Akra headers I had didn't have the cat, though they were stainless if that means the ti ones have the cat.
Im considering, when funds allow, fitting a set of Acrapovic Titanium headers. They are fitted with the flappy valve as standard and they can come with a CAT built in. Question is would it be best with or without CAT. ? What would you do ?

If you order it without the cat, you’ll have to make sure your bike’s software is never updated to euro 5. That might be a problem in case there’s some other update you want/need that might also include cat 5. Make sure the new system has provisions for the rear O2.

I bought the Remus headers without the flappy valve for my 1250 Rallye to match the Remus can, and ended up with engine warning light problems. On my 1200 I had full decat Remus system, and you could put some extra padding inside the servo motor for extra resistance but remove the cables etc, and whilst it would show a dealer fault there were no warning lights.
The 1250 servo motor for the flappy valve has to rotate thru 90 degrees when you start the bike or it shows a warning light. My dealer tried a couple of things to bypass this but none of those lasted and the warning lights came on. Finally in addition to the warning lights I got one of those warnings on the TFT to take bike to specialist dealer. Only solution was Akra decat headers but with the valve. Expensive error.
Bummer , did your dealer accept that you were fitting the decat in relation to the warrentee , as mine has warned against it as its not a factory option with regard to the warentee etc etc .
To add tho if Akrro are selling the system with the 3rd sensor maybe they know more than the dealer...
