hiya's twice now when heading home from different place's the bike has gone dead for about 1/2 a second any suggestions on where to start? have checked batt, wiring that I can get to with ease
Could possibly be the ignition wiring loom. They have been know to break wires under the sheathing where the loom bends around the steering head. Is the loom still cable tied in place? If so remove the cable tie. Might have to cut the sheathing and check if there is a dodgy wire there.
edit: I had a similar thing happen some time ago on my gsa...I replaced the ignition loom (Motorworks) and no problems since.
With the engine running, does it cut out when you turn the bars left or right?.
Any problems with clock or tacho jumping about?.
As said, the wiring to the ignition switch could be breaking internally.
The sheathing looks OK but the strands inside are broken.
Bit of work with a soldering iron and some tape and she'll be right.
well have checked repair done last year all ok & have checked other wiring all apears to be fine so I guess I'll have to wait until it does it again & start afresh
