Engine Cuts Out

I have a '99 1150GS. When I'm gearing down and I blip the throttle, a couple of times the bike has cut out on me.

I spoke to a guy and he said it's a problem with the fuel injection and that I need to put an additive (fuel injection cleaner?) in the tank next time I fill up. Does this sound right to you guys? Any suggestions about which additive is best?
