Re: H&B bars
I would agree - well apart from the flaming rear mount on the RHS. For me the brake pipe misses the H&B bars by less than 1mm. The H&B diagram actually advocates putting the right angle bracket between the frame and the brake pipe. I was not able to do this. H&B actually told me to bend the pipe ! whereas it is possible to put on the left of the brake pipe. From what I have seen the position of the brake pipe relative to the frame varies on the R1100GS. Did you have any hassles ?
BTW BHT tells me and Motobins confirmed that the top bars have to come off if you wish to change the headlight bulb.
BTW2 : did you know that the engine front cover is now trapped (R1100GS only - I think) you cannot remove it unless you whip off the LHS bars) -pain
I see you have a R1100GS.Triple T said:I dont know if its just me,but I got the top & bottom bars & fitted both sets in an hour and a half. The instructions were in german but you only had to look at the bike & it was all self explanatory!
