As the title says. I am thinking of buying a 2003 1150gsa.
I had two before but they were both the normal gs and not gsa.

What are your opinions on this? Main reason is that i sold the dohc and i can get this 1150gsa for one quarter of the money i got from the dohc.
Please your opinions are needed.

Go for it, I have been back and forth a number of times. My latest change was from a 13.5k LC GSA to a 2.5k ish 1150GSA. Lots of money in my back pocket. Not as fast granted, but they both do exactly the same job

The other bit to consider is I never worry about the 1150 being parked at work in Whitechapel, whereas i reckon it was only a matter of time before the LC would go walkies.

Do it, the fact that you have sold the 1200 and have cash just makes it easier for the decision to be made. The 1150 Adventure is not a particularly fast bike but it does everything well. Are bikes cheap in Albania ?

Well, they tend to depreciate more than in modern Europe.
But i sold mine for 9.500 euros and looking to buy this at4.000 euros.

Is 4,000 one quarter of 9,500 ?

Bit of ManMaths at play ? :augie :)

I still have a 12gsa twin cam that will possibly be sold in the coming weeks if I can get my finger out....I much prefer my 03 1150gsa. Slower, bit less economical but day to day for me and my style of riding I much prefer it.

Who needs speed?

Too many speed cameras and speed camera vans to get over 60mph on the open road

The one i am looking at is exactly as yours.
How did your bike performed until now?
I have had two 1150gs. But they were the normal not the adv model.
How about a seat? I ride a lot with my passenger and need that part solved before taking any long journey.
The guy who has the bike have made a change to the seat but i am not sure if i will like it.
What i like is the Trax trio luggage system.

Mine has a gel insert and is all day comfortable. Can't vouch for the back. Can vouch for how easy and good it is to ride. I prefer it to my 1200 as an overall experience. I find it is plenty quick enough to enjoy hooning around on twisty roads. Acceleration won't tear any arms off but pickes her skirt up and hustles sufficiently when asked. Great bike with character. Smile every time I wheel her onto the drive. Enjoy.

That is nice. Looks also higher than the standard adv seat. Thanks a lot for the photos

They do a low seat version too, mine is the higher version and I have Wilbers too, so the bike is taller than a normal GSA, probably by 2" (sorry... I don't know the metric amount)
