So the fuel cap on my GSA, well the ring, had some surface corrosion. It bugs me so I bought another used fuel cap (from an 1150) and replaced it.
All good, you can replace the barrel easily. I would not say how long it took me to figure out how to "reset" the spring that brings back the key in its vertical position
Anyway, question is this:
The 1200 fuel cap has a little spring that dampens the opening/closing movement of the cap.
The 1150 cap doesn't.
I'll probably forget fairly quickly about said spring, but yesterday I tried to remove the pin that keeps the cap attached to the outer ring to no avail.
Is there some method? Just brute force?
