Then, the question is : will your Golf do this :

0 - 100 kph = 0 - 60 mph : 3,6 s / 4,0 s
0 - 140 kph = 0 - 86 mph : 5,9 s / 6,9 s

Acceleration 6th gear GS / ADV
60 - 100 kph = 37 - 60 mph : 4,0 s / 5,0 s
100 - 140 kph = 60 - 86 mph : 4,1 s / 5,2
140 - 180 kph = 86 - 112mph : 4,8 s / 8,4 s

I was getting around 44/45 mpg on the display then i changed tyres from tourance to trail attack
I am now getting 47/48 on the same sort of runs

Yep diesel, I drive the Golf like an old man hence the 70mpg. In all honesty I wouldnt be buying the gsa for speed or acceleration performance so reckon I'll be gentle with and eek as many mpg as I can. Lets face it, you cant have everything. Where would you put it all?

This weekend, West London to west of Cardiff and back, about 310 miles.

Filled up on leaving, averaged 39.5 MPG according to computer, 5 miles left in tank on return according to computer.

Average speed was quite high though

I did see 32mpg on the trip computor once

Mine averages about 44 overall which is Ok given the mixture of riding I do
