There is an argument for keeping both sets![]()
The spokes with a decent set of off-road capable tyres and the alloys for Tarmac.....
Sounds a good idea, but I have no plans to spend any time in the dirt.....ahem.
I'll chuck a pair of carbon rims on it next year!
Don't tell Nutty GSer you can get Carbon Rims,

Doesn't sound right to me, the gear change is just fine on my bike - apart from the characteristic 'clunk' into 1st.
BARELY touch it. Works on mine.I cant seem to go from 1st to neutral, no matter how gentle I kick it up it hits 2nd mostly
I just don't get it - I have had the two previous 1200s and this gear box is just as good if not better (apart from the shift into first when setting off) than the old bikes. It is silent changing up and no clonkier when going down.
Most of the posts here are from newbies so I think it is about them learning how to change gear on a bike that is new to them - give it a few months and the problem will disappear.
The dealer is going to have a look on 2nd July,I'll keep you posted.
Loving the bike but this problem is taking the edge of a little, plus it's the first new bike I've ever had to take back for a problem.

Mines been fine. But having the first service done at 900 miles won't have done you any favours.![]()
