Gel Barrery on Adventure

Hi all, I was looking to replace my battery with a gel battery, only to find (fortunately before I bought) a BMW gel battery in place... were these standard ADV fits, and if so is there a projected life (currently bike is 6 yrs old)

Thanks guys! it would just be my Peking duck if it failed now, I'd have to get a new one chop chop, but I don't think it's prawn crackered, although the ABS warning lights are a sweet and sour experience.....
