Whilst driving around London as i do on a daily basis that there are hardly any motorcycle couriers around now?

Was down there recently - thought the same thing. I worked there as a courier in
1984, and when u pulled up a the lights anywhere in London you were invariably
surrounded by Couriers on CXs /VTs etc jockeying for position.
Nowadays when/if you stop at a red light its not long before u are surrounded by scooters
