Hi!
My most excellent GSA 1150 came with an annoying fault which only happened the night prior to me buying it, which is that the hazards are permanently on.
I have taken the switch gear apart, cleaned, lubricated and generally done all the normal things to it - no change.
I have replaced the hazard relay - no change.
My questions are these:
Are the hazards supposed to be 'on' when the ignition is off (ie: can they be activated with the key not in) as the hazards continue to function when i take the key out at the moment and only cease when i remove the relay.
My battery is not 'new' but starts the bike every time, but I do have a replacement sitting ready to go tomorrow - could this be a factor?
How does the hazard switch operate - is it activate 12V or deactivate 12V - this will affect whether I cut the wire at the switch to determine if that works.
I intend taking the tank off tomorrow and tracing all the wires back to see if there is a fault - but would welcome any input as I am not an engineer by any stretch of the imagination!
Oo
