I need some help on a technical question, please.
Sugarcube (of the Irish section of this parish) is currently in Mauritania (heading for Morocco) and following a minor 'off' in the sand yesterday his throttle position switch is broken.The bike is running but very roughly & very rich & won't idle in neutral.
The questions are this -
Is there a problem (ie. possibility of long term damage) with running it this way ?
Is there a way of shorting out the switch to enable the bike to make better progress ?
Finally, does anyone have connections with any BM dealers in the south of Spain ? I have tried to send emails to the dealers listed in Malaga & Algeciras but both have bounced back to me. Also there is no reply on the one telephone number I have tried. I will keep trying but maybe one of you will come up with something in the interim.
