Hilltop Results on the LC

And they could be answered on the phone :P

Go on give him a call, then you can post up the answers on here :beerjug:

I wouldn't hold your breath young man.

Engineer (sic) has on several separate occasions said he would phone/email Hilltop.

He didn't.

Geoff gave Engineer (sic) his phone number and asked him to ring him directly

He didn't.

Geoff asked Engineer (sic) to give him his number and he'd ring him to discuss.

He didn't.

Geoff organised an open day where he showed what was done and invited questions from all those that attended. Engineer (sic) was invited.

He didn't go.

Nah, it's much more fun to troll from behind a keyboard :)

Anyway, carry on Engineer (sic). I used to get wound up by your continuous snipping now I just sit back and enjoy watching you make yourself look an even bigger dick :)

I see your Hilltop thread and raise you a "heated grips thread"- it's getting cold out there! :P :D

Speaking of the cold JB isn't it time you put your old 1150 tractors back into their barns for the winter (or have you got a plastic bubble too) ;)

Cold?

Not down here in andalucia , this week :)

It's probably stating the obvious, but "engineer" wants something posted on a public forum, so that he can go away and formulate a response (again to go on the public forum) - to get what he perceives to be a "public expose" and "Look how clever I am!".............

Always demands "Why won't Hilltop reply to me?" but completely avoids the repeated question to him - "Why do you refuse to call Hilltop?"

Al

Engineer why don't you join a VW forum I'm sure there's plenty ecu shite you could get your threads into and maybe even get some support and followers but on here because you have been challenged to put up or shut up your becoming a pain

I sent a PM to him from this site, he chose not to answer me, but posted and excuse on here instead.

Incorrect as usual, a PM answer will do and then I can post it here for all those interested to see - a written explanation is best, a verbal answer is never as precise and these questions need a definitive answer because they are important, especially the one about BMW fuelling updates being ignored or not as it could involve safety.

Hopefully this will help resovle your issues Mr Engineer!

It is interesting :) These are just three such questions.

What happens if BMW do a critical fuelling (perhaps safety) update? Will this critical update be ignored?

I asked Geoff, I understand that the original programme is not amended and Geoff's programme will continue to work if BMW updates are installed as confirmed by a previous post in this thread.

What is the effect upon emissions after a re-map?

I don't know or much care but as most people see an improvement in fuel economy that is less CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere at least. Many people on here will be running non standard headers, cans, air filters etc. that will also impact the emissions. Have you never done anything like fit an aftermarket can?

After a re-map are any of the sensors, switches etc ignored?

I asked Geoff, I understand that his software uses data from the standard sensors in just the same way as the base programme from the manufacturer.

His software certainly works. I also found it interesting talking to him prior to handing over a single penny that he told me the gains available on My S10 were nothing like as good as for the GS's as the Yam seems to be closer to optimal than most of the GS's. The torque though, mmmmmm, torque and smooth response, exactly what I asked for, exactly what I got.

I'm confident that racers, especially teams who can probably monitor the track performance, wouldn't be taking their bikes to him if they didn't get results.

Geoff is a really decent fellow, you shouldn't be concerned about going to have a chat with him. make a day out of it with a nice days ride.
