So it turns out that the ACC connector I tried to tap into under tank isn’t live , though it should be . So much wasted faffing . Local auto elec place recommended just piggy backing off a switched fuse so I’ve done that and cut hole it fuse box lid then covered with waterproof tape . The lid was flimsy anyway . Now sorted .



Just waiting for an Atlas Throttle lock and I’m done ,

( though still waiting for SW Motech to have a Pro tank ring to fit )

Used Atlas for years. Had them on my AT and ATAS and then Husky 701LR.
Works very well.
It obviously just locks the throttle so will only keep a contant speed on the flat, but it’s much better than not having it.
Takes pressure of the wrist/hand and makes long days possible if you need to cover some miles.

Just fitted this Oxford Aqua S8 tank bag




Needs a bit of jiggling to get seat back on but fits very neatly, attaching the bottom loops around frame under seat and front strap around headstock . Straps will need cutting .






The bag zips on and off so easy to take with you

£83 delivered with all mounts , two batteries, waterproof case, remote control etc .




Couldn’t justify anything more expensive as won’t use it much but we’re off to the Picos tomorrow and I wanted something for a bit of filming .

No but I'm hoping to use a bit of stainless or alloy sheet or even a bit of plywood to knock up something. I'll post here when I've something sorted.

Barkbusters from Adventure Bike Shop I think .
Oxford Hotgrip Evo Touring from Sportsbikeshop.
They do the Adventure ones too but Touring were half price .

Just fitted Oxford heated grips to mine. For anyone doing so, be aware: the left grip fits fine. The throttle tube however has a ridge on the end and rows of bumps which engage with the OEM grip. These have to be ground down before the heated grip will fit. I used a Dremel with a small grindstone on a flexible drive.
