Woohoo! Done it!
After having a nearly new 1150GS some years ago, I traded to a 1200GS which I had for 5 years until mucho final drive woes, which were not catered for by Pidcock BMW or BMW at all.
I though f**k it! And sold up.
I had a ZZR1400 and loved it, it ws fast, it looked good, it was reasonably comfy (for a sports bike), but in the end I had to admit I missed me beemer!
So a year and a half ago I bought a 1150R Rockster, which I love but after touring Scotland on it again, I missed my GS.
Then I dropped lucky, I've just picked up an '03 BMW R1150GS Adventure, (black bodywork with black engine) with oodles of farkles already fitted with only 5685 miles on the clock!!!
My dream bike, 12 years old and less than 6k on the clock! It looks brand new!
I had given up hope of finding a low mileage one and was preparing to buy the best I could find and strip it down and refurb it!
So I'm back and so happy!
