Increasing visibility from the rear

Greetings collective.

I've seen (and used) a lot of options for forward facing lights, but not any for those that might help prevent some plonker from driving into the back of me.

What have you guys used? It's for my 1150 ADV by the way, if there's wiring and brackets to be done I'd rather sort it now while it's in bits.

I use these little puppies!

They are a block of LED's which stick inside the indicators. They work with both the tail light and brake light. The picture doesn't do them credit. They are red LED's through a clear indicator lens.

Why go to the trouble of fitting lights ? I have just used a strip of red reflective stuff. Vertically up the panniers and horizontally on the top box. It's called 3m diamond bright, I think
