Locked out of email account

Following an overnight update of the operating system on both my iPhone and iPad I was asked to re logon to my BT emails. I got it wrong, and am now unable to access my emails from either device. I suspect it was to do with the details I entered in the PASSWORDS app, my password comes up as my Username for some reason :confused:. Anyway, I went for the 'reset password' option, changed the password and was told it had now overwritten the old one in the app, so I seemed all was well.

HOWEVER... I tried to log in on my iPhone & iPad entering the 'password' app it wouldn't take it, whereas when I entered it manually (without using the Password app) it went through fine. Well, as we'll be leaving on holiday in a few hours I can live with that, (made a note of the new password).

Oh bugger, found I can't send from either accounts now, I'm fucked... l
 
have you tried webmail using a browser?
I didn't, thank you for replying, but eventually I managed to find someone who could help, and we're up and running once again. I'm sorry not to have posted that all was well once again but it's been frantic catching up on the unsent emails in my outbox. Thank you for your suggestion.
