At least the find option is now much more user friendly. It'll be even better when you canuse the full UK postcode, but up to now its hit the right place 100%, rather than the 0.1% of 5.4.

I contacted Garmin yesterday and asked this:-

Dear Nick

I received yesterday an automated mail from Garmin advising me that there
was a Mapsource update to version 6.1. However despite several attempts I
cannot get on to the site. Now it could be that everyone and their dog is
trying to down load it of course?


The reply I had back today was this:-

Dear Alan.

map source is currently being updated and will be online soon. sorry for any inconvenience. Hopefully it will be back on line within a couple of days.

My replacement 128MB datacard arrived from Garmin today (my other one which is fairly new suddenly gave up on me). This was loaded with maps based on the 6.1 system which is what all the Garmin guys in thier office are using. I noticed its back up on the site again and I downloaded it no problem.
