M'off in the morning ... Spain and Portugal

I have but for some reason struggling to upload

So far the morning has been spent in clouds making me regret the life choice of mesh clothing.

The clouds and drizzle makes the roads wet which in turn makes the cow shit very slippery which in turn has loosened my sphincter on occasion

Point of not today a huge bull stood in the road daring us to pass it had the largest bollocks I have ever seen on a living creature IMG_2568.jpegIMG_2571.jpeg

What a great day
About 230 miles on our route from fuente de to my favourite parador - the monastery at Corias

Some wet roads and some beautiful reasonable temps down to 12 deg at one point up high and in cloudIMG_2576.jpeg589e8284-5e7a-4682-b640-ed7bdc480f91.jpegIMG_2574.jpege24cb992-1671-4358-be78-7a7609b88958.jpeg0b1bea6a-8744-4aa9-9420-30c3796c9aa4.jpeg

We stayed in Parador de Corias for a couple of nights last year. Or maybe the year before. Stunning restaurant.

EDIT: It was 2024. We were there on flying ant day. Made our hike along the lanes opposite the Parador interesting!

I am classified as being in Alvito Da Beira, it was 44c today and increasing as the days go by.
Ride safe, stay hydrated and I wish you all the best, as I have ridden in 47c and it is not good....It is sheer hell in my experience.

I stayed a night at that Fuente De parador last month, beautiful location, nice to be out of busy Potes for a change.

To try and catch up
From Corias we have a great route to mogadouro via Pueblo de sanabria
All fantastic roads

Mogadouro is a small town with one hotel which is cheap but clean and cheerful

It is so cheap there
3 beers and 3 coffees cost 9.6 europounds
We found a nice restaurant where I had a whole sheep grilled ( we both had the same)
And a pudding total cost 38 europounds

We may have over reached yesterday
Mogadouro to Marveo
On some great roads to include the best road in the world the N221 along the Douro valley and then over and round the Estrella but 312 miles which would have been ok but it was so fucking hot
Temps hit 42 but we had a result as the temps got down below 40 for the last hour !
Without a cooling vest I don’t think I could have done it and it was more a test of endurance after 2 pm

Any way now camped in Marveo which is lovely and we have a pre planned day off to recoverIMG_2591.jpeg|\IMG_2596.jpegIMG_2602.jpeg
