Is it just me or......

I have a Zumo 550 working with an Autocom Duo200 and autocom bluetooth dongle but i have a few problems (which may be set up problems on my behalf:confused:)

Half the time i switch the bike on i have to pair the phone and headset to the autocom unit which i dont think is correct. As i said it may be something i have done!!

Sometimes when a call comes through,it rings in my headset and when i answer it i cant hear them and they cant hear me!

If i make a call i can hear it dailing the number but cant hear it ringing (although it does ring at the other end much to the persons anoyance as they will answer but i dont know they have answered:confused:)

If i switch the bluetooth on the garmin off the phone works fine with the autocom unit so i suspect its something to do with the Garmin or Garmin set up..

Its all a bit strange and very frustrating to say the least..

I look forward to any suggestions...

Where is the GPS powered from as this could be an issue as its sounds like the Zumo is not carrying out it correct fire up sequence as in looking for a phone or headset etc?

Hi Rich

Thanks for the reply..

The Zumo is hard wired direct to the battery ( i will check the connections)
This whole system is new and was only tried last week for the 1st time..

Its installed on a 1300 Pan:hide so maybe im asking on the wrong site:augie

Regards

Aaaaaaaaah thats what I would put my money on the problem being then, if the Zumo's are wired direct to the battery for some reason they do not carry out the correct fire up process. So I would recommend that you wire the Zumo to a switched power source which when we wire up the Pans we wire the live to the black and white wire found on the red diagnosis plug found under the pillions seat on the right as if you were sat on the bike.

This I would say would sort your Zumo out straight away.
