My 1200 GS/A has no real problems...

Just come back from much the same sort of blat but probably slower as I haven't had her a week yet. Agree with your coments great bike :bow

I certainly love my bike now it has the full Remus system. It barks like a bastard!! :D:D:D

“ I am a happy owner of a R1200 GS because ...............”

I didn't buy it new
The rear wheel is easy to remove
The battery is easy to get to
The seats are easy to remove and refit
It's easy to carry out a basic service
Bulbs are easy to change
It easily does 50mpg
The instrument layout and illumination is easily one of the best I ever owned

I could go on, but...

...as you can see I'm easily pleased

I couldn't put it better

Yes mate:thumb2

I went and did the loop with Autogs yesterday, we were blatting hard mate, My wheel popping up all the time and Autogs got some real air with his 1150 GSA!

My bike too was barking like a really big bastard!

You will find that you are always in a lower gear than you really need and that you are forever encouraging the over run when slowing down....!

My route to anywhere involves going through tunnels and under bridges even if it takes me a few miles out of my way...

.............don't you just love it!:bounce1

:D

Funnily enough, I did find that. I was using the bike a lot more 5000-7000rpm, probably because the annoying flat spot has gone.

When its got another few miles on it, I'll have it in with the HM Racing dyno near me and see what the curve looks like.

How did this one sneak off the front page while the other one is still up there :augie Can't have that for the newbies to see, bad form.

My GS has no real problems, though here's what's needed to be done:
Gear position potentiometer (warranty)
Squeaky front brake (warranty)
Topping up with oil occasionally
Oh here's one that annoys me, the sidestand keeps getting really sticky so I need to WD40 it sometimes.
Ermmm.... I think that's it if you don't count me snapping an exhaust stud. This is the 4th thread I've mentioned that on now, I'll shut up about it one day :D

Here's what I needed to do for my own enjoyment:
Sargent seat
Winglets and a TT screen spoiler
Exhaust, because the original sounds like a hairdryer on it's economy setting.

9000 miles on the clock, a year since I bought it, and I'm still growing more fond of it every day.

Thanks Jonny for bumping this thread, the thing is the 'other thread has more tossers saying they are happy with their GS than this one:eek: :thumb2

Forgot to mention great front and rear view visibility...and I am not talking about Bones' avatar

There are some recalls for the 08 models!

Get them sorted and your BEST MOTORCYCLE IN THE WORLD will get even better :D
