SWMBO and I are spending a few days in Leyburn. Any recommendations for good brekky or more importantly great evening meals thankfully received! Cheers

Wensleydale Heifer at West Witton and Blue Lion at East Witton are top eating houses
Plenty of other places - maybe not in same bracket though
Masham is worth a visit too

I spent over 20 years in Leyburn leaving 3 years ago, as said the Wensleydale heifer is good but expensive, the blue lion likewise better 10 years ago though. The wyvill arms at constable burton was my go to place to eat out as the steak was good and the venison excellent. The Saddle room at tupgill park has a good reputation and worth a visit. Saffron is a half decent Indian. For breakfast the black swan was nice when I was there a couple of months ago, best phone them and see if they do walk in though.

It used to be owned by the same people that had a posh restaurant in york and the food was certainly classed as fine dining - in fact i remember well the last meal i had in there it was so good - i had a rack of lamb and it was exquisite

I can’t add much to this post JB, AA388 has pretty much nailed it. I would say though if the other options are considered a bit pricey, the Golden Lion in town is under new management and they are concentrating on the food side with a new restaurant, might be worth a try.
