Off Raod GPS

looking for a GPS unit that will route me off road where possible (and if wanted?) looking at the montana, seems it does OS maps which suggests it has knowledge of the byways open to public?

anyone know of any better GPS unit/one that does what I want?

I would like to have one, but I got the 660 just before the Montan was released.

I have a Garmin Oregon but if I were buying now it would be a Garmin Montana bundled with complete GB OS maps.

The unit will route on road but will not route using byways etc found on the OS map. The routing is calculated on a version of City Navigator which is held underneath the OS maps.

You can, however, use tracklogs that you or someone else has created which may include byways.
