Picked up my new 1150 yesterday, dealer started it for me and ran me through the controls. I noted how he held the choke open to start her from cold. And then released it. Didn't realise that the choke was still open as the lever wasn't fully pushed forward.

Rode 90 miles home and only realised why she was racing a bit at lights when I read the manual at bedtime last night.

Will this have caused any issues? Apart from excessive fuel consumption obviously.

Please put my mind at rest.

Weak mixture is harmful as the engine runs hot. Rich mixture soots up the spark plugs but causes no serious harm.
