Since new clutch fitted it feels like a bag of shit!!! She now judders really bad as you pull away. Should I allow a certain amount of 'bedding in' time?

I would never pay that sort of dosh for a service. As has already been said before,, If its two years old and out of warranty whats the point of the dealer stamp? You probably wont get anymore for it when the time comes to sell/part ex'.
I would suggest an independant BMW boxer service guy/gal or get a Haynes manual and have a go yourself (I do) thats if you are handy with a set of spanners. You will save big cash.
The only probable downside might be, if you have a goodwill claim in the future, BMW may not honour the claim unless youve got the service book dealer stamped. (Anyone got a dealer stamp??) I dunno.
Think you gotta follow your gut feeling on this one.
My God.
I asked in another thread what the servicing costs were and now I have my answer!
They are quite simply ridiculous bills. We are talking about a motorcycle here (of sorts). In all my life of riding bikes I have never ever paid a bill anywhere like that. In fact, my car, a lowly 10 year old vauxhall has never had a bill north of £250 at its service time.
From an outsider, bmw are plainly ripping a lot of people off. £55-60 p/h labour is not justified.
Vote with your feet !
Woh - that bill is a bit salty isn't it! When I had mine done at that mileage I don't think I had an ABS bleed.
Might be worth dropping some polite comms to the dealer and ask what they think and whether it is reasonable or not - doesn't look right at all. You never know they might hold thier hands up and give you a better deal on the next service.
Just a thought.
Just been given £30 odd back because they overcharged on the brake bleeding time by 25mins. They were also not happy that i made this post and showed my bill online.
It makes you wonder had i not put my bill on the internet there is no way i would get money back.
So a note to all if you think something isn't right get on here and the right people will see it. Bottom line is we are all paying far to much for a stamp on the service book
Just to clear matters up ... here's your old one!...ianw said:Funny thing is, the invoince doesn't show an oil filter, I've had a look underneath and can't decide whether it's new or they've cleaned the old one up.![]()
Their reaction to you putting your bill online is a real tell-tale to the fact they know they were/are swinging the lead.

Clearly the BMW dealership is monitoring this forum so perhaps they can explain what the problem is showing the invoice. If you are doing a good job and charging the correct fee there should be no mystery or embarrassment
Perhaps we should all do the same so we can compare to see if there is like for like service. No law against it !

Im getting more and more disillusioned with my purchase of a GSA. Looking through this site there seems to be regular faults, no parity on servicing costs etc. I get told one price by a dealer only to find out its a lot more when it comes to it and it needs to be done to keep the warranty up. I chose the BMW over the KTM for supposed cheaper servicing as bodywork does need removing to get to the engine but it seems the servicing cost is much the same
Anybody wanna buy a 57 plate GSA?
My local Suzuki dealer charges £86 per hour

At least Dick Terpin had the decency to wear a mask
couldn't believe how much to change four spark plugs
