got it fitted. no wiring modifacations needed, just needs plugging in. there is enought wire on its supplied loom to locate the reg/rect behind the side panel next to the battery.
what on earth were you doing with it !!!! i have lost count of the jap bikes i have had, they have all had combined reg/rect and i have never had any issues with them and never known of anyone else have any issues but of courrse if you over load them they will have cooling issues and potentialy get damaged.
i cant tell you the charge rate at the moment because i only have a 10a multimeter. is there anyone near clacton with a clamp type ammeter who i can pop round to and see howmany amps this thing will supply. will be back when i can find out
The ***/*** has been the only been the only unreliable part on my VFR , two failed before I relocated it to a cooler spot and fitted a oversize item with heavier wiring , so there is no way I would change to one.
