Seen on Facebook, shitty thing to happen anyone at anytime

Some American friends of mine travelling around the UK are having a bad time right now. Samantha was involved in an accident at the weekend which has resulted in loss of a leg; whilst in hospital her husband's BMW R1100S was stolen in the Aberdeen area. Could people please keep eyes open for it and let me know if any sightings. Plus if anyone could post on any Scottish bike forums this info I'd be grateful, cheers

1999 R1100S, canyon red, with panniers. picture attached. US registration plate 19GJO, lots of stickers on the panniers, touring shield, approx 80k miles.

Sorry to hear about this - I'll keep an eye out for it. There's a fair amount of bikes being stolen in Aberdeen of late - most of them seem to be ending up being ridden round the city for a few days before being set on fire. The individuals responsible for a lot of this are well known but as they don't wear helmets the police won't pursue them..

I hope your friends bike is returned intact.
