Well, it was meant to be a restful weekend at the beach, but last night a call from the police changed all that - some b**tard has stolen my 12GS and my little Honda VTR 250. After 9 months of ownership and some 7,000 km travelling around Tasmania each weekend I now have the struggles of replacing my wonderful 12 and dealing with my insurance company!!
They broke into my home and found the keys to the bike and the lock and cable that was securing it. Moral here is don't just think your bike is safe if you go to all the effort to tie it up with a cable - also hide the keys. They also took off with a heap of other stuff, so a long weekend has turned quite sour.
So if anyone living in SE Australia is offered a cheap, almost new Tasmania register 12, check first that it is not mine!
