The best just got better.

My first ever bike was a BSA 250 Goldstar, it made me feel alive but I soon discovered better :)

Not sure about feeling alive but I have had a few bikes that have tried to kill me! Or was that me?

Never had a bike try to kill me so try looking somewhere else? ;)

Don't you KTM girls spend a lot of time on here justifying your choice of bike just a little bit too often?:augie

It's almost as if you're trying to convince yourselves:comfort:D

if your choice of bike was so good, how come you buy a new one every two weeks? :D

Every two years, dear boy, once the warranty runs out. Read into that what you will!:augie:D

I don't give a flying fuck what you choose to ride :D

I'm just passionate about biking and .... good bikes. And I'm passionate about bikes with soul and character in particular.

Stick to yer WC GS :thumb2 (It'll go well with yer laminate floors and wide screen TV .... :D)

What we all need is a good old HD... You guys do not know what your missing....

Actually .... I would!

If My ship came in, I could move and have a proper man shed that would fit four or five bikes, I'd also have a decent off roader, a pannigale and a Harley of some sorts (an old classic - not that swoopy glossy fairing and chrome shit ... :D)

:thumb2

and then there are complete knobs spilling out bollox
'tis a funny thing but also hardly surprising;

Those that value order in their lives, who hate to be outside of their comfort zone, who see the world as black and white/right and wrong, who value efficiency and lack imagination, are unable to think outside of the box and who over think things are inexorably drawn to that bastion of Teutonic, soulless efficiency, a WBM motorcycle. They are the sort of people who have read in a book that says there is some significant art to be seen in a large museum in Madrid, go and see it and tick that off their list, job done.

Then there are the sort that value a bit of passion in their lives. They understand the world is not perfect but accept, nay celebrate that. They like a bit of a challenge, it makes them feel alive. They aren't sheep, they don't follow the crowd. They have a pop at most things, sometimes getting it wrong but not giving a shit. They love soul and value diversity in all things. There is no right or wrong just experiences to be had. They, in short, are drawn to bikes that make their souls soar and make them feel alive. The sort of bikes that come out of Austria and Italy. They are the sort of people that have chatted to a local in a bar in Barcelona and got invited to a lock-in in a small Tapas bar, still drinking Spanish brandy at seven in the morning.

:D

You're fishing in the water-cooled section, saying the bikes and their owners are shit. Someone took the bait.... shocker

The best just got better.

It will be interesting to see what changes BMW make next to the GS to keep it at the top of the sales charts. I hope that they don't go down the silly automatic gearbox route, although I guess it would help some of the older riders on here to cope with the increasing immobility that age brings :)

No charge :)
